`Force’ will be a benchmark: John Abraham
Mumbai: From showing his chiselled body to flexing his muscles to lifting a 120 kg bike, John Abraham has done everything to match up upto Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone for his forthcoming film `Force’.
In Vipul Shah’s `Force’, John essays the role of ACP Yashvardhan. “I started shooting for the movie a year back. Nishikant (director) gave me eight months to build my body. He told me he wants a body like Sylvester Stallone…which was difficult and hence he gave me eight months. So with `Force’, I have set a benchmark,” John said here.
“I have undertaken special training for this film. I was on diet…. my character is supposed to be like a machine, very powerful who can lift and break anything,” he said.
Talking about the physique of his fellow actors, John says, “Every actor is visually fit and has a presentable body. Actors like Salman, Ajay, Aamir, Hrithik all have wonderful body. They are in the industry for a long time and it is incredible that they have maintained themselves so well. It is important…everybody must look fit as cinema is a visual medium.”
“There were times when I had given up but it was my trainer who used to push me to the limit. This is probably 70 per cent of the right body and I will reach 100 per cent in other film. This is a benchmark…and from here I will go to next level,” he said.
