‘Piya Basanti’ album’s sequel to release

Mumbai: A sequel to the popular album ‘Piya Basanti’, which will have unheard songs of late singer Ustad Sultan Khan and Chithra, is set to hit the stores in August.

‘Piya Basanti’, which saw the successful trio of Sultan Khan, Chithra and composer Sandesh Shandilya woo many with their songs, was also awarded the Best Pop album.

The sequel titled “Piya Basanti Again” will be released by Sony Music with seven brand new original compositions and one remix.

The album is one of the few that presents the unheard melodies of Late Sultan Khan.

“Piya Basanti has been an iconic album in the early 2000 and the sequel promises to be the same and much more. We have kept the same nuances while creating this album and we are definite the songs will crate the same magic as it did a decade ago,” said Sanujeet Bhujabal, Marketing Director Sony Music Entertainment India.
