Chirayu Amin is the new Chairman of IPL
New Delhi: In the Anuual General Meeting (AGM) of Borad of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today, Chiarayu Amin, has been appointed as the new Chairman of Indian Premier League (IPL).
Making major changes in the governing body of IPL, BCCI appointed Amin as the chairman of newly formed IPL governing body and removed former batting legend Sunil Gavaskar from the governing body.
Farooq Abdullah and IS Bindra were also removed from the IPL governing Council.
The new member in the IPL governing body includes: Ranjib Biswal, Arun Jaitley, Rajiv Shukla and Anurag Thakur.
The BCCI AGM also revoked expulsion of former President Jagmohan Dalmiya and decided to withdraw the case from Bombay High Court.

The BCCI will also send show cause notice to Rajasthan Royals, an IPL franchise believed to be associated with disgraced former IPL boss Lalit Modi.
The BCCI has also removed Modi from all posts including IPL Chief and the board’s vice-president.
