Andaman and Nicobar to have its own football stadium

Port Blair: An exclusive football stadium with a seating capacity of around 4,000 people will soon grace the Andaman and Nicobar islands, a top sports official from the Union territory said today.

According to Director of Sports for Andaman and Nicobar, Lucas Robert, the football stadium which is being built near Jawaharlal Nehru college complex at an estimated cost of Rs 4.5 crore is expected to be completed by June this year.
The project is being funded by games international body (FIFA) through its Indian counterparts, All India Football Federation.
