MI’s innings never really gained momentum. Rohit Sharma fell for a duck, tying the unwanted IPL record of most ducks (18). The team crumbled from 66/3 to 128/8, with only Tilak Varma (31) and Suryakumar Yadav (29) showing some resistance.

Noor Ahmad, the young Afghan wrist-spinner, ran through the middle order with four brilliant wickets, including Tilak and Naman Dhir, while Ashwin and Khaleel chipped in crucial blows. CSK’s bowling effort left MI staring at a sub-par total.
