Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has announced that his upcoming film, The Delhi Files – The Bengal Chapter, will be released in theaters on August 15, 2025.
This film is set to be the first of a two-part series, with Agnihotri emphasizing the depth of the narrative that warranted a two-part format. He shared this news along with an intriguing poster on social media, encouraging fans to mark their calendars.
In his announcement, Agnihotri highlighted the extensive research that went into the film, indicating that the story is significant enough to explore in two parts. His caption read: “After years of research, the story of #TheDelhiFiles is too powerful for one part. We’re excited to bring you The Bengal Chapter – the first of two parts, unveiling a significant chapter in our history. #RightToLife”.
Agnihotri has a strong track record in filmmaking, having made his directorial debut with Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets in 2005, featuring an ensemble cast that included Anil Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi.
His recent works, The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files, have garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success, with The Kashmir Files winning the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration at the 69th National Film Awards.
