IPL Auction- Rs. 550 Crore spent Ishan Kishan at 15.25 cr. most expensive

England’s T20 specialist batter Liam Livingstone, was snapped up by Punjab Kings for a whoppingRs 11.50 crore, while his fellow country mate Jofra Archer was bought for 8 Crores by Mumbai Indians, despite his unavailability for the 2022 edition of the IPL.

Livingstone played for Rajasthan Royals in the previous season but didn’t actually perform well on slow tracks but franchises still looked desperate for him.

Punjab Kings paid Rs. crores for West Indies fast bowler Odean Smith. He impressed all in the recently-concluded ODI series against India.

Marco Jansen, the South African pacer, who tormented India during the Test series, got Rs 4.2 crore from Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Ishan Kishan was the most expensive buy so far, after Mumbai Indians booked him for Rs 15.25 crore. Deepak Chahar was picked by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore. Shreyas Iyer was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping Rs 12.25 crore.
