According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada, the house was locked from the outside, raising suspicions that the perpetrator might have been someone familiar with the family. Police officers accessed the residence through the roof and discovered the bodies of Moin, a 35-year-old mechanic, his wife Asma, and their three daughters: Afsa (8), Aziza (4), and Adiba (1).

Moin and Asma’s bodies were found on the floor, while the children’s bodies were concealed inside a bed box. Preliminary investigations suggest an old enmity might be the motive behind the murders. SSP Tada said one of the victims had their legs tied with a bedsheet, indicating a possible struggle. Forensic teams and senior officers are currently gathering evidence at the crime scene.

The family had recently moved to the area, and their background is being investigated for potential leads. Moin and Asma had reportedly gone missing on Wednesday, which raised alarms among their relatives.

The tragedy came to light when Moin’s brother, Salim, along with his wife, arrived at the house after being unable to contact the family. With the help of neighbors, they forced their way in, only to uncover the devastating scene.

Authorities are treating the case with urgency and have launched a detailed investigation. “The manner in which the house was locked and the crime carried out points to someone known to the family,” SSP Tada stated.

This incident has further highlighted the need for community vigilance and swift police action in addressing such heinous crimes.
