January 13, 2025: Game Changer, directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan, Kiara Advani, Anjali, and SJ Suryah, has emerged as a box-office success. The film has officially surpassed the lifetime collection of Shankar's previous project, Indian 2, which starred Kamal Haasan.
As per reports from Sacnilk, Game Changer has amassed ₹89.60 crore net in India, including a recent collection of ₹17 crore. In comparison, Indian 2 earned ₹81.32 crore net in India during its theatrical run.

Opening Weekend and Decline
On its opening day, Game Changer recorded an impressive ₹51 crore net collection. However, the second day saw a steep decline of 57.65%, with collections dropping to ₹21.6 crore. Despite this dip, the film continues to perform steadily, albeit with fluctuating occupancy rates.

The Telugu version of the film registered an 18.01% occupancy rate in morning shows, which rose slightly to 33.22% in afternoon screenings, reflecting a mixed audience reception.

Since its release on January 10, the makers of Game Changer have faced accusations of inflating box office numbers. Initial claims suggested the film had earned ₹186 crore worldwide on its opening day, which has sparked debate among industry watchers.
The Film and Its Cast
Produced by Dil Raju and directed by Shankar, Game Changer boasts a stellar cast, including Nassar, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, and Murali Sharma in pivotal roles.
While the film has outperformed its predecessor Indian 2 in terms of earnings, its trajectory suggests that sustaining momentum in the coming weeks will be crucial to cementing its place as one of 2025’s biggest hits.
