Actor's Home Targeted by Intruder
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by an intruder at his residence in Mumbai during the early hours of Thursday. The incident occurred around 2:30 am, while the actor was asleep. A scuffle reportedly broke out when Saif confronted the intruder, who then fled the scene after stabbing him.

The actor is currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital, where doctors have confirmed that he is out of danger. According to Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, the neurosurgery has been completed, and a team of specialists is performing a plastic surgery procedure.

Crime Branch Investigation Underway
The Mumbai Crime Branch has launched a parallel investigation, forming seven special teams to locate the suspect. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and teams have been dispatched to various areas of Mumbai and beyond.
Three attendants working in Saif's house are being interrogated by the police, and an FIR has been registered at the Bandra Police Station. Officials are leaving no stone unturned to apprehend the culprit.
Official Statements Released
Saif Ali Khan’s team released an official statement addressing the incident:
"There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter, and we will keep you updated."
Similarly, Kareena Kapoor’s team reassured fans about the family’s safety:
"Saif had an injury on his arm and is undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is safe. We request media and fans to refrain from speculation and allow the police to continue their investigation."
Medical Details and Actor's Condition
Dr. Uttamani provided more details, stating that Saif suffered six stab wounds, two of which are deep and located near his spine. Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange is leading the team of doctors, which includes cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi.
The actor was brought to the hospital around 3:30 am and has since been stable, with doctors closely monitoring his recovery.

Saif Ali Khan, along with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their sons, had recently returned from a New Year’s vacation in Switzerland. On the professional front, Saif was last seen in Devara Part 1, which released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
