“AAP Is Ending Due To Its Corruption”: BJP’s Manjinder Singh Sirsa

New Delhi [India]: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is ending due to its corruption, claimed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa adding MP Sanjay Singh had a main role in liquor scam after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at Singh’s residence on Wednesday.

“In the liquor scam case, his name was continuously coming. Dinesh Arora also said in his statements that Sanjay Singh was the one who introduced Manish Sisodia to the other people who were involved in the scam,” Sirsa said.

He further said, “Sanjay Singh had a main role in the liquor scam. This was the reason that he always used to say that ED would raid my house too. AAP is ending due to its corruption.”

Delhi BJP president Virendraa Sachdeva said that Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and his “staunch honest leaders” are being exposed now.

“ED conducted raids in connection with the excise policy case. CM Arvind Kejriwal and his staunch honest leaders are being exposed now. We said from the first day that they had looted the people of Delhi. Sanjay Singh’s name was already there in the chargesheet,” the BJP chief said.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey alleged that through the ED and CBI raids, the INDIA coalition of the opposition is being targeted.

“There was a raid on journalists. And this morning there was a raid on Sanjay Singh’s house. Now in this country, there’s no need for the opposition. In a democracy, there will be just one side which is the party in power that is the BJP government. They are targeting the INDIA alliance. ED and CBI are conducting raids at their home,” Anand Dubey said.

AAP national spokesperson Reena Gupta earlier today said that the ED conducted search operations at the residence of MP Sanjay Singh because he continuously questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the industrialist Gautam Adani.

The ED this morning arrived at Singh’s Delhi residence and began its searches in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

Meanwhile, on the ongoing ED raid, Sanjay Singh’s father said that they would cooperate with the probe agency.

“The Department is doing its work, we will cooperate with them. I will wait for the time when he will get clearance,” he said.

Earlier this May Singh in a letter to Finance Secretary T V Somanathan said that the ED Director and Assistant Director deliberately linked his name to the alleged liquor scam without any basis, tarnishing his public image and defaming him.

Singh mentioned that his name was added on the basis of statements from Delhi-based businessman and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s close aide Dinesh Arora.

Singh also alleged that the officers misused their position tarnished his public image and demanded prosecution against them. He said he already sent a legal notice to the officers to issue an open and public apology.

According to ED sources, the name of the AAP leader appears four times in the ED charge sheet out of which one reference was wrong and typed inadvertently.

At one place Sanjay Singh’s name was mentioned instead of Rahul Singh who was then excise commissioner.

Further details are awaited.
