Indian professional boxer Neeraj Goyat reaches Uzbekistan for the WBC Convention

Neeraj Goyat, a well-known professional boxer who has won three World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia titles, recently had the honour of representing India at the WBC Convention in Uzbekistan. Some of the greatest names in boxing history came together for the convention, including Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Julio Cesar Chavez, Olexander Usyk, Shannon Briggs, and Amir Khan.
Neeraj Goyat had the chance to interact with these well-known individuals during the convention, talking about the Indian professional boxing scene and offering his perspectives on the struggles and victories that Indian fighters have faced around the world.

Neeraj Goyat thanked WBC in a statement released on Tuesday for giving him the chance to represent India on such a prominent stage. “It was an incredible experience to be in the presence of boxing legends who have paved the way for athletes like me, especially my role model Mike Tyson who is also known as the ‘Iron Man’ of World Professional Boxing.”
Goyat’s attendance at the World Boxing Convention demonstrated not only his accomplishments as the three-time champion of the WBC Asia, but also the increasing prominence of India in the professional boxing scene. Additionally, Neeraj was the first boxer from India to rank in the WBC World Rankings.

More about his conversation with the boxing greats, Neeraj said, “They had some really insightful things to say about professional boxing in India. Their support and wisdom have inspired me to keep aiming for greatness and elevating Indian boxing,” the man stated.
