Petr Kratky, the head coach of Mumbai City FC, praised their rivals and stated that his team is full of talented players. Speaking at the pre-game press conference, Kratky stated that although the Mumbai-based team still has a strong roster, they have lost a few key players to injuries.
“We know exactly what the Mohun Bagan Super Giant is. Despite losing some of their key players to injuries, they still have very good players. According to Kratky, “We assess where we can expose them and also identify where they are hazardous,” the official ISL website stated.
He went on to say that they are eager to play the Kolkata-based team in their next Indian Super League (ISL) encounter. He continued by saying that they won’t be making any roster changes, but rather will play solid defence and put in a lot of effort to score goals.
“Among the best teams is Mohun Bagan Super Giant. We are eager to engage in combat (with them). This is what we have been anticipating. We’ll continue to defend in the same manner; our approach won’t change, but we need to focus on finding more ways to score and create chances for others to score goals. “We’ll simply keep doing what we’re doing, only faster and better,” he continued.
The head coach went on to say that they must maintain their standards and put in a lot of effort from the first minute of the game. “We’ll always take the same strategy against every team. To keep the standard, we must give it our all from the very beginning to the very end, using the same strategy, mindset, and level of effort. We will continue to play the way we want to,” he said. Mumbai Football Arena will host a match between Mumbai City FC and Mohun Bagan SG on Wednesday. The home team enters this game having shared points with East Bengal FC and has not played well in their last five games. With 16 points, Kratky’s team is ranked fifth in the ISL standings.
