Shivam Dube ahead of 2nd T20I clash against Afghanistan: “My process is to take it one game at a time”

Before India’s second T20I against Afghanistan, all-rounder Shivam Dube said he wanted to play in the T20 World Cup for his country but didn’t want to think about it too much because he just wanted to focus on the next game. Virat Kohli, India’s best bowler, will be back for the second T20I in Indore on Sunday. He missed the first match of the series for personal reasons. India beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets in the first game of the series.

“Every player for their country wants to play in the World Cup.” They want to play in the T20 World Cup too, but that’s still a long way off. Right now, I’m looking for the game we have tomorrow. “That’s how I do things—one game at a time,” Dube said at a press meeting on Saturday before the game.

Dube was great with both the bat and the ball in the Mohali match against Afghanistan. He hit an unbeaten 60 and took a wicket. “When things don’t go your way, it’s hard. There’s nothing you can do. “I worked hard at practicing, followed a plan to get better, and worked on both my mental and physical skills,” he said. The T20 World Cup is coming up in six months, and Dube thinks that the Indian players will do better if they get more playing time. It’s important for all the players and the team because the more T20s you play, the better you get at putting together teams. The IPL and the last two games of the Afghanistan series will both be very important. He said, “IPL is a big stage. If you do well there, you have a chance to make the Indian team.”

India’s Squad for three T20Is against Afghanistan: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Sanju Samson (wk), Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar.
