Shilpa Shetty Kundra expressed her pride in playing a police officer in Rohit Shetty’s digital series ‘Indian Police Force’. The announcement came at a special event, ‘Indian Police Ko Salaam’, in Delhi, celebrating 75 years of the Indian Police Service. The event, ahead of the series’ global premiere on Amazon Prime Video, also paid tribute to Delhi Police Officers.
Shilpa spoke about the uniqueness and honor of portraying real-life heroes, praising Rohit Shetty for his mastery in depicting such roles. She expressed happiness at being part of a project that pays tribute to the Indian police force.
During the event, Shilpa was elegantly dressed in a black-grey saree, paired with a black turtleneck sweater and overcoat, complete with matching gloves for Delhi’s cold weather.
Co-star Vivek Oberoi, playing Vikram Bakshi, shared his honor in wearing a police uniform and acknowledged the grassroots level service of the Indian Police.
The event took place at the National Police Memorial and was graced by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and Ritu Arora, President of Police Families Welfare Society (PFWS), Delhi. It featured a musical performance by the Delhi Police Band and a sand art display by Rahul Arya, showcasing various aspects of the Delhi Police Force’s duties.
The ‘Indian Police Force’ team also premiered the series’ trailer, revealing an intense storyline filled with suspense, action, and a portrayal of the bravery and challenges faced by police officers. The series, created by Rohit Shetty, features a star-studded cast including Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, Shweta Tiwari, and others.
The seven-episode series is set to release on Prime Video on January 19, promising an action-packed experience for viewers.
