Delhi Police imposed ban on flying of aerial objects till Feb 15

In anticipation of the 75th Republic Day, Delhi Police has issued a prohibition on the operation of sub-conventional aerial platforms in the national capital.

This ban, effective from January 18 to February 15, aims to prevent potential threats posed by criminal or anti-social elements and terrorists. The restricted aerial platforms include para-gliders, para-motors, hang gliders, UAVs, UASs, micro-light aircraft, remotely piloted aircraft, hot air balloons, small-size powered aircraft, quadcopters, and para-jumping from aircraft.

The directive, issued by Commissioner of Police Sanjay Arora, is in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines and is enforceable under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Violating this order is punishable under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code. The notice, published ex-parte, will be made public through press releases and notices affixed in various offices across Delhi
