Variety reports that after the success of “Espresso,” singer and actor Sabrina Carpenter is set to release her sixth full-length album, ‘Short n’ Sweet.’
Carpenter shared the news on social media, writing, “”Short n’ Sweet” MY NEW ALBUM IS COMING OUT AUGUST 23rd!!!!..this project is quite special to me and i hope it’ll be something special to you too.you can preorder it now!i also have a surprise coming for you on thursday night so keep an eye out!!”
This year, Carpenter has dominated the singles charts with ‘Espresso’, marking the biggest debut of her career. The Platinum-certified single has topped charts in the UK and the United States, boosting her other singles, such as “Feather,” into the Top 40 Radio.
Recently, Carpenter appeared as a guest on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and headlined at California’s Coachella festival. At Coachella, she performed ‘Espresso’ live for the first time, shortly after its premiere.
Carpenter’s previous album, ‘Emails I Can’t Send,’ released last year, became her highest-charting album to date. She also joined Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour as the opening act, performing in South America and Australia.
Starting her career in the entertainment industry, Carpenter starred in the 2014-17 Disney Channel comedy “Girl Meets World.” Simultaneously, she began her music journey, initially under Disney-owned Hollywood Records and now under Island Records.
