Comedian Tom Papa is gearing up to release his latest Netflix special, Home Free, set to premiere on October 29. This marks Papa’s third collaboration with the streaming giant, following his popular specials What a Day (2022) and You’re Doing Great! (2020).
Filmed at the historic Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., Home Free showcases Papa’s signature humor as he dives into life after his children have left the nest. With the house to himself, his wife, and their pets, Papa takes viewers on a comedic journey back to their “glory days.”
The special is directed by Troy Miller and boasts an impressive production team, including executive producers Brian Volk-Weiss and Cisco Henson. The Nacelle Company, known for its work on various comedy projects, served as the production company behind the special.
Tom Papa is a well-established figure in the comedy world, having been a stand-up comedian for over two decades. His previous specials include Freaked Out and Human Mule on Epix, and Live in New York City on Comedy Central. In addition to his stand-up success, Papa has made significant strides in acting, hosting, and writing, with notable film credits including Paper Spiders, The Informant!, and Analyze That. He also starred in HBO’s Emmy-winning film Behind the Candelabra alongside Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.
