Veteran actor Rajinikanth was discharged from Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on the night of October 3, after undergoing treatment for a health issue.
He had been admitted due to a swelling in the aorta, the main blood vessel leading from the heart, which was treated using a non-surgical, transcatheter method. The procedure, conducted by senior interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish, involved placing a stent in the aorta to fully seal off the swelling. According to the hospital’s bulletin, the procedure was successful, and Rajinikanth is now stable and doing well.
His daughter, Soundarya, visited the Tiruvottiyur Shri Vadivudai Amman Temple to pray for his speedy recovery. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s fans have been relieved and overjoyed by his return home.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth is set to star in the highly anticipated film Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. The recently released monochrome teaser has already generated buzz, showcasing Rajinikanth in an action-packed role. There are rumors that Sivakarthikeyan might also have a significant role in the film, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
Rajinikanth will also share the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in another upcoming film, Vettaiyan.
