October 17, 2024: Mamoudou Athie is in the final stages of negotiations to join the cast of A24’s highly anticipated film “The Drama”, directed by Kristoffer Borgli.
Athie is set to star alongside industry heavyweights Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, with Alana Haim also in talks to join the project.

Other upcoming projects from Square Peg and A24 include “Death of a Unicorn” with Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, and “Eddington”, starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Emma Stone.
Mamoudou Athie has been making waves with his recent projects, including Yorgos Lanthimos’ drama “Kinds of Kindness”, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival alongside stars like Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, and Margaret Qualley. Athie has also showcased his versatility by voicing a character in Pixar’s “Elemental” and starring in Netflix’s film “Uncorked”. His addition to “The Drama” further elevates this project, adding to the excitement surrounding it.
