Matthew Perry’s Home Where He Died, Sold Before His First Death Anniversary

October 27, 2024: Nearly a year after the passing of beloved Friends actor Matthew Perry, his Pacific Palisades home has been sold. This property, where Perry tragically passed away, went off the market in an off-market deal just shy of his first death anniversary. Initial reports suggested he died by drowning, but a coroner later confirmed his death was due to the acute effects of Ketamine, with factors like artery disease and buprenorphine also playing a role.

Matthew Perry’s Property Sells for $8.55 Million Perry originally purchased the midcentury modern home in 2020 for $6 million. The 3,500-square-foot estate, featuring four bedrooms, was sold for $8.55 million to movie producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian, according to Los Angeles Times. The estate was represented by Brooke Elliott Laurinkus of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California.

The sale marks nearly a year since Perry’s passing on October 28, when he was found unresponsive in his hot tub. This summer, several of his former assistants and doctors faced charges related to providing drugs linked to his death, as reported by The New York Times.

The Mattman House: Perry’s Batman-Themed Retreat Perry’s love for Batman influenced much of his home’s decor. The house, situated on a serene 0.4-acre plot, was initially built in 1965 and renovated by Perry, who added a pool with a custom touch: an LED-lit bat signal at its base. Perry frequently shared images of his Batman-inspired decor on social media, bringing a unique character to the home that embodied his personality and interests.
