November 16, 2024: The highly anticipated second season of Bandish Bandits is almost here, and to build excitement, the makers have just released the first track, “Ghar Aa Maahi.”
The song, which blends classical Indian sounds with modern elements, offers a glimpse into the evolving journey of the show’s lead characters, Radhe and Tamanna.
Composed by Ana Rehman, with lyrics by Shubham Shirule, and featuring vocals by Nikhita Gandhi and DigV (Digvijay Singh Pariyar), “Ghar Aa Maahi” beautifully combines traditional instruments like the sarangi and tabla with contemporary guitar and bass. This mix captures the heart of the series, which revolves around the clash between traditional Indian classical music and the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of modern pop culture.
The second season continues the story of Radhe, played by Ritwik Bhowmik, and Tamanna, played by Shreya Chaudhry, as they navigate their personal and professional lives—intertwining love, ambition, and music. Alongside the returning cast, which includes Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, and Kunaal Roy Kapur, the show will introduce new faces like Divya Dutta and Rohan Gurbaxani.
Bandish Bandits made a huge impact with its debut in August 2020, winning fans over with its unique narrative and stellar performances, especially from veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. The new season, which will premiere on December 13, is expected to take the story further, offering fans a deeper look into the characters’ growth and their musical journeys.
Produced by Leo Media Collective, and created by Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari, the second season promises to bring more of the same captivating storytelling, strong performances, and, of course, beautiful music that made the first season a standout.
The show will be available on Prime Video in India and over 240 countries worldwide, giving fans everywhere the chance to experience this musical drama once again.
