November 30, 2024: Bryan Adams is all set to kick off his So Happy It Hurts world tour in India next month, starting in Shillong on December 10. Reflecting on his previous visits, the iconic Canadian singer shared fond memories of his time in the country, from meeting Bollywood icons to indulging in his favorite Indian dishes.
A Trip Down Memory Lane
This marks Bryan Adams’ sixth tour in India, following performances in 1993-1994, 2001, 2006, 2011, and 2018. In an interview with India Today, he recalled his favourite moments, including meeting Priyanka Chopra and the Kapoor family backstage.
“Meeting Priyanka Chopra and the Kapoor family is one memory I’ll never forget. We had an amazing conversation about music and life,” Bryan shared. “And yes, I’m a huge fan of Indian food—especially daal! A simple dal-chawal meal is always so satisfying.”
Beyond Bollywood, Bryan spoke about his interactions with Punjabi rappers and his admiration for Indian composer Pritam. He expressed excitement about the potential of blending rock and Indian music, calling it a “fusion with immense potential.”

As part of his world tour, Bryan Adams has tailored his setlist to match the unique energy of each Indian city. “Every performance will be fresh, aligned with the audience’s vibe,” he said. Behind the Scenes
The tour’s logistics are as impressive as the performances themselves. A source revealed that Bryan will arrive in India a few days before the tour for “comprehensive technical rehearsals.” He’ll be joined by a 50-member crew and a charter plane carrying over 10,000 kg of equipment.
Aside from music, Bryan is looking forward to immersing himself in Indian culture and heritage. “Every visit brings new experiences, and I can’t wait to create more memories,” he added.
