“After days of violence, life is getting back on track in Nuh”: Haryana DPRO

Nuh (Haryana) [India]: After days of violence in Nuh district, normal life has started to restore in the area, due to the efforts of the district administration, said Haryana’s District Public Relations Officer (DPRO).

On Sunday and Monday, the curfew was lifted in an attempt to restore normalcy in the area.

“People of all communities were engaged in restoring peace by cooperating with peace and harmony. People are now completely alert to any kind of rumours.

Citizens bought their essential commodities from various markets. The officers of the district administration and police remained in constant contact with the people,” said DPRO.

It was told that Banks and ATMs were fully operational in the Nuh district during curfew relaxation hours.

“As per the order of the District Magistrate, banks and ATMs remained open in the district from 10 am to 3 pm during the relaxation of curfew. During this, all the employees and officers were present in the banks.

All services related to banks continued to operate normally. Cash transactions functioned as usual from 11:00 am to 3:00 am. There was no problem of any kind in any bank branch in this regard,” officials said.

“The banks were opened as per the order issued by the administration. Common citizens are doing their transactions by coming to the banks.

ATMs have also been opened in the city from which customers are doing financial transactions,” said Dharmendra Singh, Manager of Union Bank in the city.

It was also told that mandis in the district remained completely functional during this period.

“The mandis of the district functioned completely normal during the curfew relaxation period. Citizens coming from rural areas were also seen buying their essential household items in the mandis.

The labourers working in the mandis started getting work like normal days. Whether it is grain market or vegetable market, citizens everywhere were seen busy in their respective works,” DPRO further said.

Notably, government offices functioned normally with citizens reaching the office for various services.

“All government offices in the district functioned normally. Citizens are reaching the offices to avail various services. As per the order of Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khargata, all the officers and employees are working in their respective offices,” officials said.

“Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata has given strict instructions to all officers and employees of the district not to leave their stations without prior permission. It is necessary for everyone to maintain their station.

If any officer and employee disobeys these orders, the strictest action will be taken against them. The Deputy Commissioner has sent a letter to all the officers in this regard, instructing them to strictly follow these orders,” DPRO further mentioned.

Violence had broken out between two groups on July 31 in Haryana’s Nuh district.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government announced on Sunday that mobile internet services will remain suspended in the Nuh district till August 8.
