Ahmad Shahzad, the former Pakistan batter, did not hold back in his criticism of the Pakistan cricket team after their humiliating home series loss to Bangladesh.
In a scathing video posted on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Shahzad slammed the team’s performance, questioning their capability to compete in Test cricket, especially after being whitewashed by a lower-ranked team like Bangladesh in their own conditions.
Shahzad highlighted how Bangladesh, despite their own challenges, managed to outplay Pakistan comprehensively. He pointed out that Bangladesh arrived in Pakistan under difficult circumstances, yet still dominated both Tests, with little resistance from the home team. Shahzad emphasized Bangladesh’s strong batting and disciplined bowling, contrasting it sharply with Pakistan’s poor performance, particularly in the second innings of both matches.
The series loss marked a new low for Pakistan, with the team suffering its first-ever Test defeat to Bangladesh in the series opener. Despite initial opportunities to capitalize on Bangladesh’s struggles in both Tests, Pakistan failed to maintain their advantage, leading to collapses in their batting order and ultimately, their defeat.
