October 11, 2024: Al Pacino, the iconic actor, is embracing fatherhood once again in his Eighties. In a recent interview with People, Pacino opened up about his experience as a father to 16-month-old Roman, whom he shares with producer Noor Alfallah, as well as his older children.
The Godfather star expressed the profound impact that being a father has had on his life. “It’s just so wonderful to have children,” Pacino shared. “For me, I loved it. It changed me for life, for the better. The idea that you’re focusing on other humans who happen to be your children… there’s the love.”
Pacino is also the father of 34-year-old Julie, from his relationship with acting coach Jan Tarrant, and 23-year-old twins Anton and Olivia, from his relationship with actress Beverly D’Angelo.
Reflecting on being a new father in his eighties, Pacino called it “a mini miracle.” Pacino added, “That’s all I can say. It’s always the same — the joy of having a child.”
His youngest son, Roman, has been part of Pacino’s inspiration for writing his upcoming memoir, Sonny Boy, which is set to be published on October 15. “That’s one of the reasons, of course,” he explained in a recent interview with The New York Times. “And it has been a campaign for me to stick around a little longer, if it’s possible.”
