Alia Bhatt Hints at Expanding Her Family: ‘Hopefully Many More Babies

October 12, 2024: Alia Bhatt, who welcomed her first child, Raha, with husband Ranbir Kapoor in November 2022, recently shared her hopes for the future, including having more children. In a candid conversation during IMDb’s Icons Only segment, the actress revealed her dreams of expanding her family, continuing her film career, and enjoying a peaceful, travel-filled life.

“Hopefully many more movies, not just as an actor but also as a producer. More babies, lots of travel, and just a healthy, happy, simple, quiet, peaceful, full-of-nature life,” Alia expressed when asked about her future aspirations.

The Brahmāstra star also spoke fondly about her daughter Raha, sharing her hopes of introducing her to her debut film, Student of the Year, one day. “I think Student of the Year would be a good one for her to watch. It’s light, full of songs, and though I’m not too proud of my performance, I think she’d really enjoy it,” Alia said. As for Ranbir Kapoor’s films, she suggested Barfi as a child-friendly option, describing it as a film their daughter might enjoy.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt’s latest movie Jigra hit theaters today. Co-produced by Alia herself along with Karan Johar, the film showcases her in the role of a protective elder sister. Directed by Vasan Bala, the trailer revealed an intense story where Alia’s character goes to great lengths to rescue her brother from an international prison. News18 Showsha gave Jigra a glowing 4-star review, praising Alia for her compelling performance.

As part of her promotion for the film, Alia has been seen attending events across India, including Hyderabad, where she was joined by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Rana Daggubati to promote the Telugu version of Jigra.
