Veteran actor Anil Kapoor arrived in Delhi on Sunday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The city was abuzz with excitement as people from various walks of life gathered to witness this historic event. Dressed in stylish white attire, Anil Kapoor spoke to ANI before heading to the ceremony, expressing his hopes for the country’s future. “I just want the country to prosper,” he said, adding to the star-studded gathering at the event.
Narendra Modi is set to be sworn in as Prime Minister for a third consecutive term, an achievement that places him alongside former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru as the only leaders to have been elected for a third term after completing the full tenure of each previous term. The evening ceremony will also see the swearing-in of members of Modi’s Council of Ministers.
Delhi has been adorned with posters featuring the PM-designate, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and celebration. To ensure smooth traffic movement and security, around 1,100 traffic police personnel have been deployed throughout the city. An advisory has been issued to the public regarding the traffic route arrangements made for the delegates attending the ceremony.
The event is attracting attention not only from within India but also from neighboring regions and the Indian Ocean region. Several leaders and state heads have been invited as distinguished guests, emphasizing India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy.
On the professional front, Anil Kapoor will soon be seen hosting ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ and starring in the action-drama film ‘Subedaar.’ The movie is directed by Suresh Triveni, known for his previous works with T-Series, such as the comedy-drama ‘Tumhari Sulu’ (2017) and ‘Jalsa,’ both headlined by Vidya Balan. Vikram Malhotra, Suresh Triveni, and Anil Kapoor are producers for the film.
