Anil Kapoor continues his remarkable winning streak with yet another significant achievement: his series The Night Manager has earned a nomination for Best Drama Series at the 2024 International Emmy Awards.

This Indian adaptation of the acclaimed British series, starring Kapoor alongside Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala, stands as the only entry from India across all 14 categories announced.

Kapoor, whose portrayal of the complex antagonist in the show has been highly praised, reflected on the nomination with pride. He expressed his initial conflict when offered the role, given the challenge of stepping into a part originally played by Hugh Laurie. “It offered me the opportunity to play a character so complex, but also on the other hand, the huge responsibility of trying to add a newness and authenticity,” he shared.

The Emmy nomination adds to Kapoor’s list of recent accomplishments, which include box-office success with Animal and Fighter, winning the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and being named to the TIME100AI list.

Kapoor’s reaction to the Emmy nod was one of gratitude and determination:

“This validation from the Emmys, in addition to the tremendous love that we have received from fans worldwide, is a worthy reminder that hard work always pays off.”

This latest recognition celebrates Kapoor’s global appeal and versatility as an actor. Looking ahead, Kapoor is preparing to shoot his next project, Subedaar, directed by Suresh Triveni, further cementing his status as one of India’s most enduring and dynamic stars.
