Aus Vs Sco : Cameron Delivered standout Performance, Hits Career-Best Figures In T20 Internationals

Cameron Green’s all-round brilliance powered Australia to a commanding 3-0 series sweep over Scotland in the T20I series. His career-best performance with both bat and ball was instrumental in Australia’s six-wicket victory, highlighting his immense potential as a key player for the side.

Green first delivered with the ball, registering figures of 3/35 and breaking crucial partnerships. His scalps included George Munsey (25), Scotland’s skipper Richie Berrington (8), and Mark Watt, restricting Scotland to a modest total of 149/9. Brandon McMullen top-scored for Scotland with a gritty 56 off 39 balls, but their total remained underwhelming.

Chasing 150, Australia faced early trouble when Bradley Currie removed opener Jake Fraser-McGurk for a duck and later dismissed Travis Head (12), leaving Australia at 45/2 after the powerplay. However, Green, along with skipper Mitchell Marsh, steered the chase back on course with a crucial 61-run partnership. Marsh played a supporting role with 31 before falling to Jack Jarvis.

Despite the loss of Marsh, Green continued his assault. He hammered the Scottish bowlers all around the ground, racing to a career-best 62* off 39 balls, including a flurry of sixes. Tim David contributed with a quick cameo before Green, alongside Aaron Hardie, finished the job, sealing the win with more than three overs to spare.

Green’s power-hitting and his controlled bowling proved to be too much for Scotland, completing Australia’s clean sweep in style.
