Aus VS Sco : Inglis’s Explosive Century Powered Australia To A Commanding 70-Run Win

Australia clinched a 70-run victory over Scotland in the second T20I at Edinburgh, driven by a record-breaking century from wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis and an excellent bowling display from Marcus Stoinis. With this win, Australia secured the three-match series 2-0.

After losing Travis Head for a golden duck and Jake Fraser-McGurk early on, Australia was 23/2. However, Inglis and Cameron Green (36 off 29) built a crucial 92-run partnership. Inglis blasted his way to a century in just 43 balls, the fastest by an Australian in T20Is, surpassing the previous record of 47 balls held by both him and Aaron Finch. Inglis scored 106 off 49 balls, including seven fours and seven sixes, helping Australia reach 196/4 in 20 overs.

In reply, Brandon McMullen‘s 59 from 42 balls was the only notable contribution for Scotland, as they struggled to 126 all out. Stoinis led Australia’s bowling with 4/23, while Green and others chipped in to complete the win.
