Actor Ayushmann Khurrana returned to his hometown, Chandigarh, to cast his vote in the final phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Speaking with ANI, he highlighted the significance of voting and encouraged citizens to participate in the electoral process.
“I came back to my city to cast my vote and exercise my right…Mumbai recorded a very low voter turnout this time, but we should cast our vote…We don’t have a right to complain if we don’t vote,” Ayushmann stated. He fondly recalled casting his first vote at 18, riding his cycle to the polling booth with excitement.
The seventh phase concludes the world’s largest polling marathon, covering 57 constituencies across seven states and Chandigarh. Over 10.06 crore electors are expected to vote, with 904 candidates contesting, including prominent leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Manish Tewari. The election results will be announced on June 4.
