November 4, 2024: Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, directed by Anees Bazmee and led by Kartik Aaryan alongside Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri, has achieved a stellar opening weekend at the box office. Despite clashing with Singham Again, the horror-comedy has brought in impressive numbers, marking the highest opening weekend of Aaryan’s career. Early estimates suggest that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has garnered between ₹96 crore to ₹97.5 crore over its first three days.

The film opened with ₹33.25 crore on Friday, climbed to ₹34.5 crore on Saturday, and added an estimated ₹29-31 crore on Sunday, taking the weekend total just shy of ₹100 crore. Key regions like Central India (CI), West Bengal, Orissa, and Delhi have shown particularly strong performances. Additionally, the top three national chains – PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis – contributed around ₹46 crore, which is approximately 47% of the overall business.

As the film heads into the weekdays, its future performance will depend largely on its Monday hold. With a strong start, controlled budget, and competition factored in, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is expected to secure a “clean hit” status. If the weekday trend remains positive, the film has the potential to surpass the lifetime collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (₹182 crore) and may become Kartik Aaryan’s first entry into the ₹200 crore club.

Encouragingly, the film’s screen count has increased over the weekend, moving from 40% on Friday to around 47% on Sunday, indicating growing interest.

Opening Weekend Box Office Breakdown:

  • Friday: ₹33.25 crore
  • Saturday: ₹34.50 crore
  • Sunday: ₹29.00 crore (approx)
  • Total: ₹97.25 crore
