In a surprising moment, after using a phone booth, Tata approached Bachchan and asked, “Amitabh, can I borrow some money from you? I don’t have money to make a phone call!” This anecdote not only showcased Tata’s grounded nature but also deepened the audience’s appreciation for him.
Ratan Tata, who was born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, was a significant figure in Indian industry and philanthropy, serving as Chairman of Tata Sons until his retirement in 2012 and leading various philanthropic initiatives. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 for his contributions. Sadly, he passed away on October 9 this year at the age of 86, leaving behind a legacy of humility and generosity.
