Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her first child with husband Ranveer Singh, announced her pregnancy in March this year and is due in September. At the event, she looked radiant in a black dress, perfectly complementing her co-stars’ outfits, with Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Rana Daggubati all in attendance.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a post-apocalyptic film inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898 AD. The film’s trailer hints at a futuristic reimagining of the Mahabharat with a dystopian twist, adding to its unique appeal.

Kamal Haasan, who is also part of the film, joined the stellar cast in creating buzz for what has become one of the most talked-about productions of 2024. The film’s promotional campaign included a teaser of Amitabh Bachchan’s look, released during an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore last month. The 21-second teaser featured Big B in warm earthy tones, seated in a cave, praying to a Shiva linga, and covered in bandages. A young child in the clip asks, “Are you God? Can you not die?” to which Amitabh’s character replies, “Since the Dwapar Yug, I have waited for the Dasavatar. I am Ashwatthama, the son of Dronacharya.”

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is set to hit theaters on June 27, promising a visually stunning and narratively rich cinematic experience.
