Ajay Devgn also expressed his support on X (formerly Twitter), praising the athletes as the “pride of our nation” and tweeting, “Be assured that we will be cheering our hearts out to see you perform. It’s time to bring home the hardware. Cheers and good luck!”
Suniel Shetty showed his support on Instagram, posting a story featuring several Indian athletes and wishing them the best. “Wishing our incredible athletes the very best for the Paris Olympics. The nation stands behind you as you #GoForGlory. Jai Hind,” he wrote.
The Paris Olympics 2024 marked a historic first with the opening ceremony held outside a traditional stadium setting, taking place along the River Seine. Leading the Indian team were two-time medallist PV Sindhu and five-time Olympian Sharath Kamal.
The event featured a special appearance by French football legend Zinedine Zidane in a pre-recorded video, carrying the Olympic flame. The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, were also introduced at the Trocadero.
The 2024 Summer Olympics, which began on July 26, will conclude on August 11. As the games proceed, the support from Bollywood and the nation continues to inspire and motivate Indian athletes, encouraging them to achieve greatness on the world stage.
