Bomb Threat Prompts Security Action on Two IndiGo Flights at Mumbai Airport

New Delhi, October 14, 2024: Security measures were quickly enforced at Mumbai Airport on Monday morning after bomb threats were reported on two separate IndiGo flights bound for the Middle East. Sources revealed that the flights involved were IndiGo 6E 1275, heading to Muscat, and IndiGo 6E 56, en route to Jeddah.

Upon receiving the threats, both aircraft were moved to an isolation bay, a standard precautionary procedure in such situations. The airport’s security agencies were promptly alerted, and intensive safety checks were initiated.

An IndiGo spokesperson confirmed the situation, stating, “IndiGo flight 6E 1275 operating from Mumbai to Muscat and IndiGo flight 6E 56 operating from Mumbai to Jeddah received a bomb threat. As per protocol, the aircraft were relocated to an isolated bay, and mandatory security checks were initiated immediately. We are providing assistance and refreshments to passengers and regret the inconvenience caused.”
