Brazilian Singer Ayres Sasaki Dies of Electrocution During Live Performance

Brazilian singer Ayres Sasaki tragically passed away at the age of 35 due to electrocution during a live performance on July 13 in Salinopolis, Para, Brazil.

The incident occurred at the Solar Hotel, where Sasaki was performing when he embraced a drenched concertgoer on stage. This contact triggered a nearby cable to jolt, resulting in a fatal electric shock, as reported by People, citing Brazilian news site Istoe Gente.

The Para Civil Police have initiated an investigation, with witnesses providing statements and expert reports being requested to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. The Solar Hotel released a statement on July 14, expressing their commitment to supporting Sasaki’s family and cooperating fully with the authorities. “We are fully dedicated to providing support to his family and taking the necessary measures. We reaffirm our commitment to fully cooperating with the competent authorities for the proper clarification of the events,” read the hotel’s official Instagram account, via translation. The statement concluded with, “Our thoughts and condolences are with Ayres Sasaki’s family and friends at this difficult time.”

In the wake of Sasaki’s untimely death, numerous fans expressed their shock and sorrow in the comments section of his Instagram posts. Sasaki is survived by his wife of 11 months, Mariana.
