✈️ US-China Trade War Deepens: Beijing Suspends Boeing Aircraft Deliveries Amid Escalating Tariffs

As Trump’s tariffs rattle global markets, China halts Boeing jet imports and aircraft part purchases, further straining aviation and trade ties between the two superpowers.

April 15, 2025: In a sharp escalation of the ongoing US-China trade war, Beijing has ordered its airlines to suspend deliveries of Boeing aircraft, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday. The move comes as both countries continue to exchange heavy tariffs, rattling global markets and putting multi-billion-dollar deals at risk.

Since President Donald Trump returned to office in January, the US has imposed tariffs up to 145% on Chinese imports. In retaliation, China levied 125% duties on American goods, branding Washington’s actions as “bullying” and “economically reckless.”

China’s aviation sector, long a key customer for Boeing, has increasingly turned toward domestic manufacturers like COMAC amid ongoing geopolitical and economic tensions.
