Anand Mahindra Reacts on Operation Sindoor

The industrialist joins fellow citizens in saluting India’s precision strike against terror camps following the Pahalgam massacre that claimed 26 lives.

May 7, 2025: New Delhi – As the nation responds emotionally and politically to Operation Sindoor, prominent industrialist Anand Mahindra joined the outpouring of solidarity with a powerful message of unity and support for the Indian armed forces.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Mahindra posted:

Our prayers are with our forces… One nation…Together we stand.

His post included a visual of “Operation Sindoor” written on a stark black background, featuring a bowl of vermilion (sindoor) — a deeply symbolic image reflecting the grief of 25 widows whose husbands were killed in the Pahalgam attack.

A Nation Reacts

India’s strike — launched at 1:44 AM on May 7 — hit nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and PoK, including hubs used by Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

In a formal statement, the Ministry of Defence said:

“These actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature… No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in execution.”

Public and Personal Grief Converge

Anand Mahindra’s post echoes the sentiment of many Indians, especially the families of Pahalgam victims, who have expressed gratitude to the government for upholding its commitment to justice.

Aishanya Dwivedi, wife of slain tourist Shubham Dwivedi, called the operation “a real tribute” to her husband.

“We were waiting for PM Modi to take such action,” she said. “Our trust has been honoured.”

Airspace Restrictions and Aftershocks

Following the operation, civilian airspace across northern India was closed temporarily, and major airlines issued travel advisories. Tensions remain high as Pakistan retaliated with cross-border shelling, killing three civilians.

Unified Voices, Firm Resolve

As citizens, celebrities, and business leaders unite in support of Operation Sindoor, the country continues to grieve — and stand strong — in the face of cross-border terror.
