July-3, 2025: Banks across India are set to observe 13 holidays in July 2025, including seven regional festivals and regular weekend breaks. As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, customers should plan ahead, especially for in-branch transactions, to avoid inconvenience.

While branches will remain closed on specific dates based on state-wise celebrations, digital banking services such as UPI, net banking, mobile apps, ATMs, and card payments will continue to operate seamlessly.

  • Agartala (Tripura): Banks will be closed on July 3 for Kharchi Puja and July 19 for Ker Puja.
  • Jammu & Kashmir: Banks will shut on July 5 to observe the birth anniversary of Guru Hargobind Ji.
  • Shillong (Meghalaya): Holidays on July 14 (Beh Deinkhlam) and July 17 (Death anniversary of U Tirot Singh).
  • Dehradun (Uttarakhand): Banks will remain shut on July 16 for Harela, an agrarian festival.
  • Gangtok (Sikkim): A holiday is declared on July 28 for Drukpa Tshe-zi, a key Buddhist festival.

Digital Banking Remains Operational

Despite physical closures, customers can still access services like ATM withdrawals, internet banking, mobile apps, credit/debit card usage, NEFT/RTGS, and apply for banking facilities like chequebooks or lockers online.

It is advisable to check local bank holiday schedules and make branch visits accordingly to avoid disruption in services.
