New Delhi, January 18: At the Auto Expo 2025, BMW India unveiled its first-ever X1 Long Wheelbase All-Electric SUV, marking a significant milestone as the company’s inaugural ‘Made in India’ electric vehicle. Produced at BMW’s Chennai plant, the SUV is available in the exclusive eDrive20L drivetrain and can now be booked across BMW dealerships nationwide.

Key Features and Design

The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All-Electric combines an imposing SUV design with eco-conscious innovation. With a length of 4,616 mm and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, it is the largest in its segment, offering exceptional interior space and comfort.

• Exterior Design: Signature kidney grille, adaptive LED headlights, and bold 18-inch M light alloy wheels.
• Interior Comfort: A widescreen curved display, ambient lighting, and luxurious vegan upholstery in Mocha Veganza Perforated fabric.

Equipped with BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive technology, the electric motor delivers 204 hp and 250 Nm of torque, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience. A 66.4 kWh lithium-ion battery provides an impressive 531 km driving range (MIDC).

• 130 kW DC charger: 10%-80% in 29 minutes.
• 11 kW AC charger: 0%-100% in 6 hours 30 minutes.

BMW’s latest Operating System 9 introduces advanced features like Smart eRouting, live charging updates, and over-the-air upgrades. The BMW Digital Key Plus allows users to unlock and start the car using their smartphone or smartwatch.
