
BMW Launches First-Ever Made-in-India X1 Long Wheelbase All-Electric SUV
New Delhi, January 18: At the Auto Expo 2025, BMW India unveiled its first-ever X1 Long Wheelbase All-Electric SUV, marking a significant milestone as the company’s inaugural ‘Made in India’ electric vehicle. Produced at BMW’s Chennai plant, the SUV is available in the exclusive eDrive20L drivetrain and can now be booked across BMW dealerships nationwide.
The BMW X1 Long Wheelbase All-Electric combines an imposing SUV design with eco-conscious innovation. With a length of 4,616 mm and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, it is the largest in its segment, offering exceptional interior space and comfort.
Equipped with BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive technology, the electric motor delivers 204 hp and 250 Nm of torque, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience. A 66.4 kWh lithium-ion battery provides an impressive 531 km driving range (MIDC).

Priced at an introductory ₹49,00,000 (ex-showroom), BMW offers attractive finance options. Customers can own the X1 EV for just ₹38,422 per month under BMW SMART Finance with assured buyback.
BMW’s latest Operating System 9 introduces advanced features like Smart eRouting, live charging updates, and over-the-air upgrades. The BMW Digital Key Plus allows users to unlock and start the car using their smartphone or smartwatch.
