Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked by Rs 16.5

December 1, 2024: Oil marketing companies have raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 16.5 with immediate effect. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders, which remain stable.

This hike in commercial LPG prices is expected to affect businesses that rely on LPG for their operations, such as restaurants, hotels, and other food-related services. The price adjustment for commercial cylinders comes as a result of fluctuations in global energy prices, which oil companies typically adjust based on.

Although the domestic LPG prices remain unaffected, this increase in commercial cylinder rates might influence the cost structure for businesses, potentially leading to higher prices for consumers in the coming weeks.

The move highlights the ongoing pressure from global energy price fluctuations on the domestic market, even though the government continues to shield consumers from price hikes in essential household LPG cylinders.
