At 53, Elon Musk continues to juggle leadership roles at Tesla, X (formerly Twitter), SpaceX, and Neuralink. Errol Musk acknowledged his son’s boundless energy: “People at 53 say, ‘Oh, we’re too old.’ But he is like someone in his early 30s.”

Errol Musk also expressed surprise that Elon hasn’t yet set foot in India, despite Tesla and Starlink’s plans to expand there. “If he does not, he’s making a big mistake…” he said, hinting that investment talks could be on the agenda when Elon finally visits.

But his advice didn’t stop there. Errol urged Elon to “focus on Neuralink,” the brain-machine interface company that promises to revolutionise neurotechnology. “The company amazes me. They’re talking about rejoining spinal cords, enabling the blind to see, restoring hearing. This isn’t some far-off dream. It’s happening,” he said.

“They already have brain implants that quadriplegics can use to operate computers,” he added, underscoring the transformative power of Neuralink’s work.

We really need to study those things.” He believes that without this drive to push scientific frontiers, “vehicles going up in space… that’s never going to happen.”

As for India’s economy, Errol is bullish. Amid global market turbulence, he said: “India is on the verge of a booming economy. We are in good times for India.”

Elon Musk’s visit to India remains uncertain, but if and when he does make the trip, it’s sure to be a major milestone for India’s growing tech and investment landscape.
