According to data from HDFC Securities, gold prices have surged over 30% from Akshaya Tritiya 2024 to 2025, climbing from ₹73,240 per 10 grams to near the ₹95,000–96,000/10 gm range today. In some retail segments, the yellow metal has even touched the psychological ₹1 lakh/10 gm mark.

Despite high prices driven by global trade tensions, investor appetite remains strong. Experts note that gold continues to be a safe haven investment amid global economic volatility, tariff conflicts, and currency fluctuations.
