Gold prices soften slightly from record highs ahead of Akshaya Tritiya; check 24K and 22K gold and silver rates across major Indian cities today.

Gold prices across India slipped slightly from last week’s record highs as hopes of easing US-China trade tensions and a firmer US Dollar weighed on the yellow metal’s safe-haven appeal. Despite the dip, gold continues to remain a preferred investment, especially with Akshaya Tritiya — considered an auspicious day for gold purchases — approaching on April 30.

At 6:20 am, MCX Gold was priced at ₹96,060 per 10 grams, rising ₹1,068 from the previous close, while MCX Silver was trading at ₹96,587 per kg, up ₹146.
According to the Indian Bullion Association (IBA) rates:
- 24-carat gold stood at ₹96,320/10 gm
- 22-carat gold at ₹88,293/10 gm
- Silver (999 Fine) was priced at ₹97,090/kg
