How To Do GST Payment Online?
July 19, 2025: GST payment – The Goods and Services Tax portal www.gst.gov.in continues to streamline taxpayer compliance by offering simple online and offline payment options. Businesses and individuals registered under GST can now easily pay their tax liabilities post-login on the official portal.
To initiate the payment process, taxpayers must log in to the portal using valid credentials. Once logged in, users can navigate to the Challan History under the Services > Payments section to view previously generated challans.
After selecting the appropriate CPIN (Common Portal Identification Number), taxpayers can proceed to choose their preferred mode of payment. The GST portal supports a range of e-payment methods, including Net Banking, UPI, and Credit/Debit Cards. For those preferring offline methods, options such as Over-the-Counter (OTC) payments and NEFT/RTGS are available.
It’s important to note that each challan remains valid for 15 days from the date of generation. After the successful payment, users receive a CIN (Challan Identification Number), which serves as proof of payment and can be downloaded for future reference.
The GST portal’s seamless integration of payment options ensures timely tax compliance and reduces the burden on businesses across the country. For any technical support, users are encouraged to contact the GST helpdesk.
