India’s Iconic Goli Soda Rebranded as 'Goli Pop' — Now Bubbling to Success in US, UK, Gulf
New Delhi | March 26, 2025 — Once a street-side staple and a symbol of Indian summers, Goli Soda has now been reborn as Goli Pop Soda—and it’s making waves internationally. According to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the fizzy drink is witnessing surging demand in the US, UK, Europe, and Gulf countries, thanks to strategic partnerships and a modern twist on nostalgic charm.

In a statement, the ministry credited APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) for spearheading the product’s revival and Fair Exports India for ensuring supply chain integration with Lulu Hypermarket, one of the largest retail chains in the Middle East.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal took to X (formerly Twitter), praising the product’s comeback:
“Bharat’s very own GOLI POP SODA returns to wow tastebuds worldwide!”
The revamped product retains its old-school identity with an innovative pop-cap bottle design, reigniting memories while appealing to new-age consumers abroad. The unique packaging—designed to mimic the nostalgic “pop” of the traditional glass-bottled Goli Soda—has become a key selling point.
This rebranding aligns with India’s broader “Local goes Global” export mission, positioning homegrown heritage products to compete with global FMCG brands. The global rollout of Goli Pop Soda is being hailed as a case study in cultural branding, innovation, and export diversification.
The successful trial shipments and consumer feedback suggest this fizzy beverage is not only nostalgic—it’s also future-ready.
