Renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle stirred a social media buzz on Sunday after taking a tongue-in-cheek jab at IndiGo Airlines, hinting at a delayed flight experience. In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Bhogle humorously called out what he perceived as a “passenger last” approach by the airline.

“One day I am going to invite people from IndiGo home for dinner and ask them to wait outside the door till the table is laid and the food is cooked. Always IndiGo first, passenger last,” Bhogle wrote.

Though the exact incident wasn’t elaborated upon, Bhogle’s post clearly suggested frustration with a flight delay despite being on schedule.
IndiGo promptly responded to the remark, stating that the delay was due to prioritizing boarding for passengers with wheelchairs. “We apologize for the brief delay, which occurred as we were assisting wheelchair users with boarding. In remote bays, delays may happen due to aircraft and vehicle movement. We appreciate your patience and hope you had a pleasant flight,” the airline said in its reply.
The exchange came shortly after another cricketer, Australia’s David Warner, criticized Air India for boarding passengers on a flight in Bengaluru that allegedly had no pilots available. Warner had tweeted, “We’ve boarded a plane with no pilots and are now waiting for hours.”
Air India responded that weather disruptions in Bengaluru had caused crew and flight delays across multiple airlines. “Your flight’s crew was held up due to earlier weather-related issues,” they explained.
These back-to-back travel grievances by celebrities have reignited online conversations about punctuality, customer service, and communication standards among India’s airlines.
