Is Today A Bank Holiday?
July 26, 2025: According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) bank holiday calendar, today, Saturday, July 26, 2025, is the fourth Saturday of the month. All banks in India are closed. This makes sure that all banks in the country have the same holiday schedule on certain Saturdays.
Today’s (July 26) Fourth Saturday Holiday means that banks are closed. Here’s a full list of bank closures in August.
The RBI divides bank holidays into three groups: holidays for the Negotiable Instruments Act, holidays for Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), and holidays when banks close their accounts. The Negotiable Instruments Act says that transactions that include checks and promissory notes won’t be executed today.
Even if physical bank branches are closed, online banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATMs are all still fully operating across the country. This means that clients can easily do their banking.
